When the clouds of the mind part, the truth is revealed and we see our original nature, which is Nature itself. We are of the same tissue as the world. This painting reflects that opening. The calligraphy is an old Zen saying: “The clouds part revealing the full moon.” This suggests that same radiance. This is painted on a special 300-gram handmade watercolor paper and is bigger than my usual paintings at 56cm x 74cm. I mixed in an aged Dian Hong tea with the pigment and ink when painting.
