Old Tree Session

$300.00
Sold

An old tree, a stack of bowls and a boiling kettle… We are all fortunate we can stray into such a dream anytime we like. The calligraphy reads “Tea drinks people,” reminding us that we are as much a part of Tea’s journey as She is of ours. This also alludes to the egolessness that remains after a good old-tree-type tea session… This large square painting is painted on handmade rice paper. It is too square to be a scroll. It will need to be mounted on silk of the color you choose depending on your room and then framed when it gets to you. The mounting and shipping are free. It was painted with handground pigments soaked in the Root shou puerh. The painting is roughly 60 by 85 cm without the silk mounting which should add at least 10 cm per side, though this is flexible and up to you, like the color of the silk.
